Resources to Help You Access the Care You Need
Everyone’s Fabry journey is different, and the support you need should reflect that. With FSIG's Fabry Assist and other resources, you’ll find programs designed to help with coverage, treatment questions, emotional support, and everyday challenges. We’re here to connect you with the right tools and people so you can move forward with confidence.
Fabry Assist Program
The Fabry Assist program is intended to provide funding for those with Fabry in need of help who live in the USA. Fabry Assist is designed to help assist patients in areas other programs do not cover.
To date Fabry Assist has been providing needed assistance since 2010. Over the years FSIG has received hundreds of requests asking for help with a wide variety of issues. Whether it is reaching an area patient meeting, getting to a Fabry specialist evaluation, or complementing another assistance program, Fabry Assist is here to help.
To ensure the limited funds are directed to those with the greatest need, we rely on verification of necessity from a number of sources that may include a doctor’s office or other sources. Fabry Assist is intended for one-time, short term or infrequent needs. It is not available as a long-term funding solution. If FSIG is able to assist you, we will make the payment to the institution providing the service. FSIG does not make payment or reimbursement directly to the applicant.
Please see below for examples of areas of support.
- Limited transportation to Fabry meetings
- Cooling vests
- Fabry testing
- Fabry related medical bills (past due bills missed by co-pay assistant plans)
- Non-pharmacy medical expenses (compression stockings, eye glasses, dentures, hearing aids)
- Other types of assistance
