I hope you are doing well. The rare disease community has been closely following the progress of the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Reauthorization Act under consideration in Congress for a five-year renewal. We are sharing the following information so you might consider engaging your federal representatives in support of this pending legislation.
The bill is now moving through the House of Representatives (H.R. 2507, sponsored by Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (D- CA), is expected to be voted on by the full House on Wednesday July 24) and has just been introduced in the Senate (S. 2158 by Senators Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Cory Gardner (R-CO).
